The English Stamp Company + Our Save the Dates ♥

I have an absolute obsession with stamps, it all started when Tom bought me an lower and upper case alphabet stamp set for Christmas a while ago. I love the look that stamps give and how easy they are to use! Due to my love for stamps I knew that we'd want incorporate stamps into our wedding Save the Dates, Invitations and Thank You cards. Stamps are so perfect for the rustic style wedding so many Brides to Be are having these days!
The English Stamp company is a Dorset based company that has been running since 1992. The beautiful stamps The English Stamp company sell are made in their (converted Dinosaur museum - how amazing!) Dorset based factory, it's lovely to support a British company who sell such high quality products. There really is a stamp for every need - address stamps, upload your own image stamp, Homemade produce stamp, stamps for children, your name, gift tag stamp, Christmas stamp and wedding favour stamps.
I was kindly send a 'Save the Date' stamp from The English Stamp Company (£26) and couldn't believe the quality. The wooden part of the stamp was so thick, sturdy and beautifully finished.

You can choose from four different letter fonts, depending on the theme of your wedding. You can completely personalised the wording, which is a feature of all of The English Stamp Company stamps. Look at how precisely the stamp has been carved, it always astounds me quite how precise the carving of stamps is.

You can buy a range of inkpads from The English Stamp Company but I already had this relatively big inkpad from Amazon. I would recommend you use a big inkpad, otherwise ensuring you have an even coverage of ink on the stamp could be challenging.
For our Save the Dates we decided to use treasury tags, the ones we bought had white string on, so replaced it with some rustic twine Tom's Dad had given us. The stamp was the perfect size for the size of treasury tag we had, it's worth checking the size of your card/tag and the stamp to make sure they fit.

I wasn't concerned that the letters wouldn't stand out or would merge when I pressed the stamp into the inkpad (which does happen on some cheaper stamps) because you can see the high quality carving on the stamp. The large wooden mount meant it was so easy to use, I could position the stamp easily and I didn't get covered in black ink!

Here's the finished Save the Date...

We are so pleased with the end result! I used a different stamp on the back that said 'To' and 'From' on, wrote our names and the names of the guests. It was that easy - honestly if you want effective but stress free Save the Dates/Invitations I would recommend using a stamp!

Are you a stamp fan like me?

The Cotswolds ♥

Wasn't it nice to have an extra day of the weekend? It was also our 3 year anniversary, so we thought we'd have a nice day out visiting various towns and villages in the Cotswolds. It's such a pretty area of the country! We looked at the price of houses there (as we're looking for a house) but we don't have millions of pounds! There were barely any houses that were less than £1 million!

Here are some of the beautiful places we visited...

MyCocktail. MyDanceMoves. MyNightToEnjoy.

Like a lot of you out there (that are over 18!) I enjoy a cocktail but it's a shame that I only seem to have them on special occasions. I simply can't justify spending well over £30 on a variety of spirits, then there's the juices, cordials etc! My spirit stash consists of a Coconut liquor that I won from heat magazine. Not exactly a cocktail maker's dream.

But fear not, I've found the perfect solution..

They provide an extensive range of cocktails that are premixed with premium spirits (let's be honest, that bottle of vodka I was going to buy would have been the value stuff!) and in easy to serve containers. It's cocktail heaven.

They have large 'pouches' of cocktails, ranging from Woo Woo to Mojito. The frozen cocktail range is perfect for those hot summer days, you simply pop the individual sachets of premixed cocktail in the freezer for 3 hours and ta dah! As these are individual you can have them at picnics, in hotels or at university (when you don't want to wash up!) and not have to worry about having a glass with you. They even cater for people who can't or don't want to drink, with their line of Mocktails!

MyCocktail kindly sent me a couple of their cocktails to try out, such a shame. I know.

This is their Woo Woo Cocktail 'pouches' (a 1.5 litre pouch is £14 from Asda), it has a nozzle for easy serving and I was very impressed that there wasn't any leakages or drips from it! It's holds around 14 servings of cocktail at 10% Vol, you defiantly know your drinking a cocktail rather than juice. Hurray!

As I don't have any of those 'posh' cocktail glasses, I used my extensive collection of jam jars to serve the cocktails in! Along with my favourite pink paper stripy straws - isn't this summer summed up...

I was also kindly sent a Lime MarGOrita, which can be enjoyed chilled or frozen. I popped it in the fridge for 3 hours, poured it into a small glass and enjoyed! This was my favourite out of these two, it was absolute heaven. It's limey, slightly frozen, so refreshing and doesn't have an overpowering alcohol taste. It's my new favourite drink :)

The range by MyCocktail is available at Asda stores, so easily accessible.

GO FIND THEM NOW :)

and enjoy them responsibly!

I MADE: Glass Tea Light Holders

This seems to be the summer of craft for me and I'm loving it! These Glass Tea Light Holders are so easy and cheap to make, they could also be used as storage containers! The ones I made are currently at work acting as pencil pots but I'm planning on using them at our wedding too.

What you need:
Thin patterned material - I found these scarves in the 99p shop, for 99p each (surprisingly!). The darker star pattern didn't look as good because the glue dried slightly white, I'd recommend fabric with a lighter pattern.
Craft Glue - this set was from Poundland
Old Jam Jars
Scissors
LED Tea Lights - you can get a pack of 3 for £1 from Poundland
Paintbrush
Splash of water

What to do:
1) Cut the material in strips that are just a bit longer than the height of your jam jar.

2) Mix a splash of water with the craft glue to loosen the glue up slightly. Make sure it's not too runny though, otherwise it will take a long time to dry and the material may slide down in the jam jar.

3) Place a strip of the fabric in the glue/water mixture, until it's completely covered.

5) Carefully place the strip of fabric on the INSIDE of the jam jar, using the paintbrush to smooth out any air bubbles. You then repeat step 4 and 5 until the inside of the jam jar is completely covered. Don't worry if the fabric hangs out the top of the jam jar, you can trim this when it's dried.

6) Leave them to dry overnight, then trim away any excess fabric from the top of the jam jar. Pop in an LED tea light and there you have it! I wouldn't recommend putting a normal tea light in because the fabric will be flammable.

Here they are finished...

My article is featured on Inspired Magazine's website!

A while ago Inspired Magazine had a bloggers competition running, in which they asked bloggers to write a beauty or fashion article that could then be published on their website. I thought I'd have a go, so decided to write about the up and coming Autumn season. I spent hours finding 30 autumn dresses for less than £30 - trust me it's not as easy as you'd think! But it was obviously exciting to think my article could end up on the Inspired Magazine website.

About a week of submitting my entry I had an email saying I was one of the bloggers that had won! YAY! My article '30 Autumn dresses for less than £30' is now on the Inspired Magazine website, under the 'fashion' section...

I'd love it if you checked it out - click here :)

Cath Kidston from John Lewis ♥

Yes I love Cath Kidston. Yes I probably talk about it too much. Yes I spend too much money there. But no I don't care :)
I picked up these little beauties from John Lewis, they're 'Wild Flowers Assorted Hand Creams' and only cost £6! Each one is 30ml, so perfect for the handbag, holidays, weekends away or if your feeling really generous then you could split them up and give them as presents!

The 'wild flowers' scents are wild rose, bluebell and honeysuckle, personally my favourite is honeysuckle. They all have very strong scents, there's no denying they smell of flowers, so if you don't like strong scents these may not be the hand creams for you.

I really like the texture of these hand creams, they soak in quickly and their scent stays for hours! Very moisturising and such cute packaging, typical Cath Kidston!

Have you tried these before?

Are you a fan of the Cath Kidston toiletries?

Mollie & Fred - The Online Gift Boutique ♥

As I've explained many times before I LOVE giving gifts, I mean of course I love receiving them too but I get a lot more pleasure out of giving a gift that I've thought hard about and is perfect for the recipient. Another love of mine is the whole shabby chic, vintage inspired look - as a lot of you will know by now, I'm planning my wedding around this look :)

When the lovely people at Mollie & Fred offered to send me a couple of products from their website I was thrilled. Mollie and Fred is an online gift boutique, offering you such a beautiful range of gifts and products. One of my favourite home accessories designer is Gisela Graham, there are loads of her designs available at Mollie & Fred. There are also a wide range of gifts, home accessories, stationary, children's gifts and wedding accessories available - all in line with the shabby chic/vintage inspired look. An absolute heaven of a website for someone like me!

Isn't there are wonderful selection of cute products?

I was kindly sent The Bright Side 'Happiest Bride and Groom' sign (£3.99). I am possibly one of the biggest The Bright Side fans - the witty comments, stamp letters and colourful designs are all simply brilliant! This sign is so apt for everyones wedding day, as (hopefully) every Bride and Groom will be the happiest on their big day! It would also make a lovely token gift for a Bride and Groom.

I also received the Sass & Belle Tripe Heart Detail Chalkboard (£8.99), this would be perfect in a kitchen as a 'shopping list' chalkboard or a place to simply leave lovely messages for someone! I can envisage using this at our wedding - we're only having a small number of people to our wedding ceremony and then meeting everyone else at the Giant Tipi's. This means that we won't be there to welcome all of our guests - using this gorgeous chalkboard to leave a lovely message to tell our guests to grab a jam jar of cocktail will fit in perfectly with the shabby chic theme of our wedding :)

It has a little holder along the bottom of the chalkboard to hold pieces of chalk - very helpful!

Go and check out the Mollie & Fred website here!

If you enter 'SUNSHINE15' at the checkout this weekend (until midnight Monday 26th August 2013) then you'll get 15% discount off everything - GO MAKE THE MOST OF IT :)
